Among the world's largest economies, the number of homegrown innovations from India that the rest of the world actually adopts is strikingly small. We export brilliant people by the thousands, yet the ideas the world can't live without still tend to come from elsewhere. It's worth asking why — and what we, as parents, can do about it.
For a long time, ordinary life has been hard enough that innovation felt like a luxury. But more families can now think a little further ahead than the next month, and that changes what we can give the next generation: not more pressure, but the curiosity, initiative and resilience that school rarely has time for.
Sugun is our small contribution to that — a beyond-school companion for children aged 8–16 that starts from what a child is curious about and gently builds life skills around it. It's not a replacement for school, and we're not launched yet. For now, the most useful thing you can do is tell us what your child needs.
